Sunrise Surprise
Sunrise shots are magic. Sunrise shots with a moose are a dream come true. I've been kayaking this moose haunt for 40 yrs plus....in by floatplane, this particular time for 12 days alone. I had seen this sunrise in this spot before without the moose....and I'd seen a bull there before without the sunrise....never could get both at once...This is not some Photoshopped fake color, this is THE sunrise that morning. This place is one of my favorite places on the planet. That moose haunt is part of my soul. Getting the shot was difficult, Maine bulls can be very wary.....it's like hunting but with a camera instead of rifle or bow. Wind direction is critical, a slight breeze in my face is best, hitting the back of my head is game over. Nature was on my side this morning.
